American service member killed in Afghanistan, second U.S. loss of life in 6 days

WASHINGTON — An American service member was killed in jap Afghanistan on Thursday, the second U.S. army loss of life in Afghanistan in lower than per week. Officers stated the service member died of a wound sustained in a fight operation.

The service member’s identification was being withheld pending notification of relations. The army stated one Afghan safety power member additionally was killed and several other have been wounded in Thursday’s incident. 

Thursday’s loss of life marked the fourth American servicemember to be killed in Afghanistan this yr. On Jan. 1, Military Sgt. 1st Class Mihail Golin, 34, of Fort Lee, New Jersey, was killed in preventing in Nangarhar province, and on April 30, Military Spc. Gabriel D. Conde, 22, of Loveland, Colorado, was killed in Kapisa province.
