WASHINGTON — A U.S. service member was killed and one other wounded in an obvious insider assault in jap Afghanistan on Monday, the NATO mission in Afghanistan stated. U.S. Military Gen. Scott Miller, commander of the NATO-led Resolute Assist Mission, stated in an announcement “the sacrifice of our service member, who volunteered for a mission to Afghanistan to guard his nation is a tragic loss for all who knew and all who will now by no means know him.”
He added, “Our responsibility now’s to honor him, look after his household and proceed our mission.” White Home press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated the administration was monitoring the state of affairs and Presidenthad been briefed by chief of workers John Kelly.
The assertion stated the U.S. service member was the sixth American killed in Afghanistan this 12 months. Neither service member was recognized.
The wounded service member was in steady situation, the assertion stated.
