An adolescent has been airlifted to hospital with severe accidents after he fell 40ft in a quarry close to Merthyr.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon close to Cefn Coed.
Three mountain rescue groups, the coastguard helicopter and the air ambulance had been all concerned within the two-hour rescue.
Mark Moran, from Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Workforce, stated the 18-year-old was enjoying with pals when he fell.
Mr Moran stated he had been airlifted to the College Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff, for remedy.
